Terms of Service

These terms govern your access to and use of Lazybooks. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

1. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. You must provide accurate information and be at least 18 years old.

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use Lazybooks lawfully and not to misuse the service, interfere with its operation, or attempt to access it in unauthorised ways.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans (Standard, Plus, and Enterprise) are billed monthly. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

4. Billing on iOS

On the iOS app, subscriptions are sold via Apple In-App Purchase and managed through your Apple ID. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. To cancel or change your iOS plan, open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your device. iOS refunds are handled by Apple under their refund policy. New iOS subscribers get a 14-day free trial: Apple doesn't charge you until it ends, and you won't be charged if you cancel in the same Subscriptions settings at least 24 hours before it ends. Apple offers the trial once per Apple ID.

5. Billing on the web

On lazybooks.co.uk, subscriptions are sold and billed by Lazybooks Ltd via Stripe. New web subscribers start with a 14-day free trial — no payment is taken until the trial ends, and you can cancel at any time during the trial from your account billing portal.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the data you put into Lazybooks. You grant us the limited rights needed to host and process that data in order to provide the service.

7. Connecting AI apps

You can connect third-party AI apps, such as Claude or ChatGPT, to your account. A connected app acts on your instructions and with the access you give it: read only, or full access, which lets it create and change records in your books.

You are responsible for what is done through an app you connect, as if you had done it yourself. AI apps can misunderstand a request or get things wrong, so check what they create before you rely on it or send it to a client. Changes an AI app makes are logged and can usually be undone.

AI apps are provided by other companies under their own terms, and we aren’t responsible for their answers, their availability or how they handle the data they receive. We may limit or suspend a connection that is misused or that puts the service or other users at risk. You can disconnect an app at any time by removing Lazybooks in that app’s settings, or from Account → Connected apps in the Lazybooks web app.

8. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep Lazybooks available, but the service is provided on an 'as is' basis. We may update features or these terms from time to time, and will notify you of material changes.
